How Renty handles your data
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Renty ("Renty", "we", "our", "us") is a rental-property management app from MindMelt Corp that helps landlords track properties, tenants, rent payments, expenses, and receipts. This Privacy Policy explains what information Renty collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to the Renty mobile app and related services. By using Renty, you agree to the practices described here.
Renty works without an account. Your data is stored on your device and is the source of truth. If you sign in, your data is also synced to our servers so it can be backed up and restored on a new device. You can use the core app entirely offline and without creating an account.
| Category | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Account Data | Name and email from Sign in with Apple or Google | Create your account, sync and back up your data, and provide support |
| Profile Data | Your name, phone, and address (optional; shown on receipts you generate) | Populate the receipts you create for your tenants |
| Property & Financial Data | Property names, addresses, photos, rent amounts, payment records, and expenses you enter | Provide the core tracking, receipt, and reporting features |
| Tenant Data | Tenant names, phone numbers, emails, and lease details you enter | Let you record tenancies, send receipts, and issue reminders |
| Subscription Data | Subscription status and purchase identifiers (via the app stores / RevenueCat) | Unlock and manage Renty Pro features |
| Usage Data | Which screens you visit and which features you use (for example, that a payment was recorded or a receipt was shared — never the amounts, names, or other details you enter), device type, OS and app version, and approximate country | Understand how the app is used, find where people get stuck, and test improvements |
| Session Recordings | Recordings of how you move through the app's screens, with all text, text fields and images masked on your device before anything is sent | Find and fix confusing or broken parts of the app |
| Diagnostic Data | Limited technical information such as crash reports | Keep the app stable and improve reliability |
Renty does not request your GPS location and does not collect or store your payment card details — purchases are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Renty lets you record information about your tenants. You are the controller of that information: you are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to enter and store it (including any consent required in your jurisdiction), and for using features such as SMS reminders and emailed receipts appropriately. We process tenant data only to provide the app's features to you.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising. Usage data is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
You can turn off usage analytics and session recordings at any time in Renty under Settings → Share Usage Analytics.
Rent reminders are scheduled as notifications on your device. When you send an SMS reminder or email a receipt to a tenant, the message is sent through your own device's messaging or mail app — Renty does not send these messages on your behalf and does not receive or store their contents.
Property photos you add are stored on your device. If you are signed in, they are also uploaded to our cloud storage so they can be restored on a new device. Photos are accessible only to your account.
We rely on a small number of providers to operate Renty:
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security commitments. We do not control, and are not responsible for, their independent practices beyond what the law requires.
We retain your synced data for as long as your account exists or as needed to provide the service. Data stored only on your device remains until you delete it or remove the app. You can delete individual records in the app at any time, or delete your entire account (see below). Session recordings are kept for 30 days; other usage data is kept only as long as it is useful for improving the app, and is linked only to an internal account ID, never your name or email.
You can permanently delete your account from within the app at Settings → Personal Info → Delete Account. This removes your account and associated data — properties, tenants, payment records, expenses, and photos — from our servers, and clears the data stored on your device. This action cannot be undone.
We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the data we handle, including encrypted transport and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to authorized personnel.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many of these directly in the app, or contact us at mindmeltcorp@gmail.com.
Renty is intended for landlords and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including where our cloud providers operate. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, notifying you in the app. Continued use of Renty after changes take effect indicates your acceptance.
